About Us

The Habitation of Hope started with a simple instruction, a call to service, to minister the gospel to the destitute at Kuramo beach. To the glory of God, the ears and hearts that were prepared for the good news were so numerous that the occasional visit became weekly visits and also demanded a lot of attention and resources which gave birth to constant fellowship.

The cases that were encountered required urgent response as a lot of these destitute(boys in particular) complained of the strain in their daily life which if allowed to continue would lead them to only one direction – destruction. It was a cry for help and we know God wouldn’t give instructions without provisions and the question was how to proceed.

Our  mother in Israel after being introduced to the boys and told of their need for a better life gave a grand reception and requested that rather than returning them to the beach, accommodation should be made ready for them in order to ensure they are constantly taught bible principles and some form of basic education. That was eight (8) years ago with twenty (20) boys.

Currently the home has over 120 boys, 10 of whom have gained admission into the Redeemer’s University; 50 of them are in various secondary schools; one of the boys is a graduate of the  Pepsi Football Academy; more than 12 of them have finished apprenticeship training in different vocations while 9 of them are currently receiving training at the CRM Business Unit(Aluminium Department), while a total of 18 men and young boys who were having drug addiction challenges a Detox program at CADAM (Christ Against Drug Abuse Ministry) while 9 students have graduated from the Tailoring Institute.

We have been blessed to have partners such as Lagos State Government who helped to build our Vocation Centre and also supplied all the training equipment, in addition to a 21-room, 2 storey building. SNEPCO donated a 40KVA Generator and a Security Tower. The Habitation of Hope UK built us a school for preparatory Class call hope Academy. Daddy and Mummy G.O donated our first hostels and have ensured the smooth running of the home till date. Various RCCG Parishes, Regions, Pastors and other well wishers have also supported us in prayers and donations.

We cannot stop here as it is only the beginning; there are more souls in desperate need of what God has deposited with us in trust; there are more sons out there who need help in finding their way; there are presidents, heads of multi-national corporations, pastors, great evangelists, lawyers, doctors and world class athletes out there who need to be snatched from the clutches of hell and a system that seems to be unfair to them. God is calling us to re-shape the destiny of this nation by creating a fair balance.

To achieve this, our focus will be on the evangelical platform with which we launched out. We intend to continue running with the vision by which by which God has chosen to spread the Gospel of Hope to all who are in need of it while at the same time expanding our capacity to better equip these children once they have been taken off the streets.

We therefore invite you to come join us in this mandate of manifesting His glory which is our primary calling in this side of eternity; we invite you to come partner with God.

General Overseer of RCCG and Grand Patron
The life of Enoch Adejare Adeboye is a fulfillment of the scriptures in Zechariah 4: 10 which declare, “despise not the days of small beginnings”. Born in 1942 into a humble family in the village of Ifewara, Osun State located in the South-western part of Nigeria Enoch Adeboye often humorously states that his family was so poor that even the poor people called them poor. As a matter of fact, he unashamedly tells his congregation that he never owned shoes until he was eighteen years of age. What he possessed though were physical intangibles such as focus, consistency, diligence, ambition, a brilliant mind and a determination to succeed in life. In 1956 Enoch Adeboye was admitted into Ilesha Grammar School, Ilesha, Osun State, Western Nigeria and as a youth he discovered a passion for books, and an aptitude for science and in particular the field of Mathematics. This led to an academic journey in the field of Mathematics against incredible odds including but not limited to finances, the Nigerian Civil War and academic politics. By the time he was done, Enoch Adeboye had obtained not only a Bachelors (BSc.) degree in Mathematics from the University of Nigeria, Nnsukka, Nigeria in 1967, but also a Masters (MSc.) Degree in Hydrodynamics and a Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Applied Mathematics, both from the University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria in 1969 and 1975 respectively. One of the motivations for these academic achievements was Enoch Adeboye’s passionate desire to become the youngest Vice Chancellor (University President) of any one of the frontline Universities in Nigeria. It did seem that his academic ambition would be realized as his academic career flourished. However, this was not to be as a greater career awaited him in the service of the Lord. In 1967 Enoch Adeboye got married to his beloved wife Foluke Adenike Adeboye (nee Adeyokunnu). Read more on his website at eaadeboye.com
